What shoes to wear with elastic ankle jogging pants outfit?

I have been seeing in the stores cute jogging pants outifts. The ankle is elastic. What do you wear for a shoe. Doesn't seem like they are selling too fast in my area. Would it be a mistake to buy? Will I buy them and have no shoes. It's at Express so it ain't cheap. I can't find any photos on the internet of this pant leg with shoes- help!

1. When elastic ankle pants were out a couple of seasons ago people wore flip-flops with them because other shoes would look weird. Wait to see what other people will wear with them. I, myself wouldn't buy another pair of these pants.
